Welcome to the home blog of the West Texas A&M University Sidekicks! We are a self governing booster group, designed to help raise funds to supplement accounts for the WT Women’s Equestrian Team that we all love so dearly. It’s difficult to raise awareness and support for a team that is not well known despite having many, many national championship appearances by both the Hunter and Western teams, as well as individuals in all four disciplines that IHSA offers, (western horsemanship, reining, hunter seat equitation on the flat and hunter seat equitation over fences). Our teams have appeared repeatedly at IHSA National Championships, Varsity Equestrian National Championships and Tournament of Champions. Though WT is a Division II school, we compete against Division I and Division III schools on the most equal playing field in the National Collegiate Athletics Association. Sidekicks allows community, parents and alumni to focus their support for the continuation of this successful program. We dream big and have big future plans not only for fund raising but for those funds that we raise. We appreciate any and all support that you can give the group. Every effort helps, no matter how small you may think your contribution is.
